Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 205 reviews.
So far all works as advertised and looks great! Very easy to install. With the keypad actually having buttons instead of a touch screen and actually works with wifi is a plus. Had to return another company's bought before this one that advertised wifi but didn't work. Reading other reviews about short battery life had me concerned but after using it for a week now they still show full and will update my review if things change. At this point very satisfied with my purchase!

This is the third smart Phillips door lock I have purchased. Each time I get them, I’m impressed with how heavy duty they are. This one feels very secure with a solid steel shell that it would take a serious hammer to get through. I have written about these before, but as I have said, installation process is pretty straightforward, but it does require. You have a little bit of DYII skill. In the case of mine, I had to use a file to scrape anway a little bit of wood, so the seal would fit firmly in place. The seal keeps outside water from getting in. Once that was done, the face plate and lock mechanism came together very easily. It does take some practice to line them up so that the screws connect with the bore holes on the opposite side. Be sure to attach the connector before you began to line up the two pieces. All in all the entire installation process took me about 20 minutes. From there, the rest is all tech stuff. Installation of batteries is very straightforward and the app is available for both my Apple phone and android tablet. This is the most tedious part. The process to register your fingerprint takes some practice. I found myself having to cancel and restart a couple of times. But once you get the hang of it, it makes good sense. I set up both fingerprints and numeric passcodes for myself my wife and my kid. I can manage all of them on the app on my phone. I also like that there is a setting to automatically unlock the door when the phone gets within a certain distance of the device. This is pretty handy. Documentation and training material is good and all in all the entire process took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. Happy to recommend.

This Philips WiFi smart door lock has been working really well for us so far. Once installed, it feels like a solid upgrade over a traditional lock, especially with the convenience of multiple ways to unlock. You can use the keypad, physical key, mobile app, or connect it with Alexa or Google Home, which makes it very flexible depending on the situation.
Installation took me around an hour, mainly because I had to understand and adjust my existing lock setup. The instructions are helpful, but if you’re replacing an older lock, expect to spend a bit of time getting everything aligned properly. Once it was in place, though, setup with the app was smooth and the lock connected without any issues.
The app control is one of the best features. Being able to lock or unlock the door remotely and manage access is really convenient. You can also set different types of passcodes, which is useful for guests or temporary access. The auto-lock feature adds an extra layer of security, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to lock the door. It can also be unlocked through finger prints which is great as you don't need mobile or keys just to unlock.
Build quality feels good, and the matte black finish gives it a modern look. It runs on batteries (8 AAA), so that’s something to keep in mind, but so far it’s been reliable.
Overall, this is a well-designed smart lock that delivers on its features. Once installed, it works smoothly and adds both convenience and security to your home.

I spent a whole lot more for another brand of electronic entry lock, so I am not only impressed with the quality of this lock, but the value for the money. Installation was simple and only took about 10 minutes to complete the physical installation including taking off the old deadbolt. Setting up the app, adding passcodes, and setting up fingerprints was simple. Instructions were easy to follow and everything worked the first time!

The current Amazon listing shows a version with the handle included, but I purchased the version without the handle. Make sure to check which model you’re ordering.
This replaced the top deadbolt on my front door and works great for keyless entry. My sons can use the keypad to get in, and I can manage everything through the app when I’m away. It’s also integrated with my Echo speaker, so I can use voice commands to lock or unlock the door, which is very convenient.
The Philips Home Access app has a simple interface and is easy to navigate. It also integrates with other Philips home products, which is a nice plus if you’re already using their ecosystem, but this is the only one I have for now.

This lock is everything it claims to be. My door was already drilled and ready to accept an electronic lock, and the installation took less than ten minutes from start to finish. Everything lined up properly and the instructions were easy to follow.
The build quality feels solid and well made right out of the box. The keypad and interior components feel sturdy and premium. The fingerprint reader is especially impressive. It responds quickly and has been very accurate and consistent so far.
The app setup was simple and the interface is intuitive. Adding users, managing access, and adjusting settings was straightforward without needing to search through complicated menus. I also appreciate the multiple ways to lock and unlock from the outside including fingerprint, keypad, physical key, and app control. That flexibility makes it very practical for everyday use.
Overall, I am very impressed with this lock. It looks great, feels high quality, installs easily, and performs exactly as advertised.

If you’re replacing an existing deadbolt lock, this is really easy to install. You can read through the directions but the reality is, if you just look at the diagram, you can see how all the parts fit together. If you’re putting it in as a new deadbolt lock you need to know what you’re doing and have the right tools. I’ve installed door locks and deadbolts into brand new doors and once you know how to do it it’s not that difficult but first time can be a challenge so it helps to be mechanically inclined.
The app to control the door lock, once it is set up, is easy to use and understand. The only issue I had was trying to get the code set up as it continue to fail, and eventually required a reboot of the Bluetooth set up. Speaking of which, when you do the reset button on this particular model, the app asks you if you see the blue flashing light there is no blue flashing light on this model. or at least none that I could see; it did however self-lock which told me that the connection was correct and testing the code that i I put in worked.
There is a hard key in case you ever need it but it’s really nice that you can just hold down the checkmark button from the outside to lock and you can use your code on your phone or your thumbprint to unlock.
Lastly, I like that you can look at the app and see if the door is locked or not.
All in all everything feels solid and goes together easily. I suspect this lock will last for quite a while and will occasionally need new batteries (it takes 8 AA batteries). I’m very pleased with it.

An easy to install and operate smart deadbolt that provides great security. This deadbolt gives you various options to operate including key, keypad, and remote access via online application or voice control via google assist or alexia. It does not have finger print recognition. The passwords can be setup for permanent, one-time, or timed use. The deadbolt can be setup to automatically close in 10-180 seconds. The lock is battery powered (8 AA batteries - not included) with expected battery life of approx. 6 months. The product comes with a thorough user guide, installation guide, installation template, and access to customer service during the first 12 months. Unlike the online product description, it does not include door handles that are specified in the product description. This smart lock comes with a clean matte black finish, easy to operate featues, reasonably priced, and something I would recommend to others.

Technology is amazing these days, and this Philips keypad and fingerprint door lock truly delivers. What impressed me most is how secure it feels. It works with your existing deadbolt, so you’re not replacing your security, you’re reinforcing it. The fingerprint recognition is fast and accurate, and the keypad offers another reliable entry option without relying on physical keys.
The app gives you complete control over who has access and when. You can create and manage unique codes, monitor activity, and receive instant alerts whenever the door is locked or unlocked. That feature alone adds such a strong layer of security and awareness. Being able to check the lock status and get real-time notifications gives genuine peace of mind, whether you’re home or away.
One thing that did surprise me was the number of batteries it requires. However, I decided to use rechargeable batteries and I’m curious to see how long a full set lasts. For me, that’s a small trade-off for the added security, convenience, and control this lock provides.

I've installed enough of these by now to have developed some serious preferences, and this lock has to be my favorite so far. The fingerprint reader is seamless and easy to use, even for my 80+ year old mother. I require her locks to have push buttons so that she's never presented with a blank screen and no ideas how to activate it, and these raised buttons are perfect for her. Installation was quick and simple, as long as you already have a deadbolt installed on the door this is a simple swap. Do note that this one takes 8 batteries rather than the typical 4, but in return you finally have a wi-fi enabled lock that doesn't require a hub! Amazing! Within an hour, this was installed and we had it connected to the app and Alexa. Instructions were straightforward, and the included cutting diagram is helpful if you don't have a deadbolt already installed. I like that the keyhole is easy to access; I've had others that were impossible. The app has plenty of settings so you can make this work the way you want to, including auto-lock, which is great if you want the peace of mind that it is always going to lock behind you. Locking and unlocking with the app or your voice is easy, and Alexa needed a further skill enabling, but she was able to tell us exactly how to get it set up for unlocking with your voice. The motor on the lock itself is robust - I've had weak ones that wouldn't work if it wasn't perfectly lined up - and this lock doesn't extend all the way just because of the nature of the door frame, but the motor doesn't seem to mind. It truly couldn't have been simpler, quicker, or more satisfying an install. Since we ordered without the handle, this was under $100 for a hubless smart lock with extensive features and a trusted brand name. Truly couldn't be happier!

Práctico, funcional, súper fácil de configurar, me encanta para los accesos de mi familia, y recibir registro de horas y aperturas.
El que tenga digital, llave y huella lo hace mega práctico y seguro.

Took about five minutes to install. App has a good layout and can upload codes and fingerprints easily. Only downside would re-keying (this is for any door lock). Is complicated or have to pay a locksmith to do it for you.
Kisa1125/5Verified
This is a great home security addition that I found super easy to install. At first, I worried it was going to be a complicated endeavor, but this was super easy to install. If you have a standard deadbolt, this should easily fit in its spot. It took longer to install the app and configure than it took to install the lock itself. The app works with Android and Apple, and you can program multiple passwords, and even temp time-based passwords which really adds to the versatility of this lock. I also really like the auto lock feature that you can set a short delay and the door will auto lock when you leave - great for when your hands are full. (of special note on this feature, make sure that the bolt easily opens and closed with the door shut, it won't work if you have to jiggle the door to get the lock to engage.)
It does require 8 batteries and would have been nice if they had included rechargeables, but supposedly the 8 batteries will last up to 6 months - we will see). This is definitely a handy security device if you have multiple people that need access as setting up codes is super easy.

Philips Wi-Fi Deadbolt for the front door. I like this type of technology that utilizes advanced encryption methods between the lock and the Philips Home Access app! It's Both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are capable.
I love being able to access my home without getting out my keys. This well-designed product allows me to do that.
This technologically advanced smart deadbolt with "Voice Confirmation” has four unlock methods: fingerprint, PIN code, physical key, and the Philips Home Access app.
You set up one secure resettable "Master Code" to program and manage the lock's settings, including adding or removing user codes.
It has the ability to store an impressive 50 fingerprints, allowing every family member and all your trusted guests quick, secure access, and supports 100 different PIN codes ranging from 4 to 10 digits. With the Phillips Home Access app, it also allows for an unlimited number of one-time PIN codes, making this smart lock a perfect choice for a rental unit!
I thought this smart deadbolt might be tricky to install, but Philips is an outstanding company that provided very concise step-by-step installation and setup videos along with a great instruction manual to follow along. Getting the unit installed and setup was a breeze! All I needed was a screwdriver and my iPhone for the “Home Access app” to get her going.
The device looks really sharp on my door! It runs off of (eight AA batteries included) so there's nothing to charge. You just have to change the batteries every 9–12 months, depending on use. No worries, the app and the unit itself gives you clear low battery warnings and a physical key for peace of mind!
The Philips Wi-Fi door lock is "far superior" to the one that came with my new home!
It works seamlessly with my Amazon Alexa or one can use Google Assistant as well to lock or unlock your front door using voice commands. I can also unlock it from anywhere, using the Philips Home Access app for IOS and Android.
For added security, the keypad is kept very private. It only illuminates when your hand is waved very close to the unit, allowing for your entry code. A time stamp of the front door activity is available on the app as well. For further complete security, the Philips dead bolt lock has an auto-lock feature that can be set from10-180 seconds. The auto-lock feature worked without a hitch, locking every time I tested it!
I prefer using the extremely accurate fingerprint reader to open the door. We have used the fingerprint feature many times now, using multiple stored fingerprints, and it hasn't failed even once to recognize our families' different prints.
I would give The Philips Wi-Fi door lock 10 stars if I could!!

Before getting this lock, we had something similar... but what we had didn't have WiFi or fingerprint features. That meant it was a little limited in it's functionality. And, in recent months, it had started to act up a little when unlocked.
So, I was very much looking forward to getting this one. Installation was easy. Part of that is probably from installing the earlier, similar unit, but I can't imagine anyone having too much difficulty. I was good to go in about 12 minutes, and could have been faster if I had paid attention to which screws to use in one step.
Getting codes and fingerprints set up in the app was simple, although the app kinda froze a time or two. Keep an eye on that. The app keeps a log of actions (such as locking manually or unlocking with a fingerprint). So far I have not been able to add the lock to Google Home, so I need to investigate that; seems to be an issue on Google's side.
But, I am loving this deadbolt!

I was impressed by this product. I needed a lock that was able to allow my kids to come and go as needed without a key. We have another system for the other doors, but having a fingerprint reader was important to me. So far, its accurate enough for the back door. With dirty hands, It seemed to be able to handle finger printing reading decently.
It was easy to install with the directions, but even easier to use. I really like how the buttons are mechanical vs the touch ones I currently have. My kids don't do well with these. Usually they have some sort of glove on in the winter-time so having the physical buttons is much better. Those few seconds of getting out of the cold is very important for alot of kids. Overall, I like the product with its app and brand backing of Philips. I do own a lot of their products and they havent failed me yet. A nice touch was the use of the swivel fingerprint sensor door with the key. Whats a key anyways right. Enjoy the product and dont lock yourselves out.
George5/5Verified
I think it works great. The app is ok, no issues except 1 small annoying detail. When trying to set a schedule you have to scroll the time. It's small and easy to hit something else and cancel the time you were trying to set.
Pretty easy to install , but I had to extend the bolt housing. If you insert the bolt as the hole to actuate it isn't in the center of the hole in your door you have to push a little defend and can extend the bolt to fit.
Else just watch the videos online and it's pretty simple. I like all the functions in the app. Can set an auto lock up to 3 minutes. Can set many many fingerprints, can set codes that have a start and end time. Oh.. if you try to set a start time at 7am and end at 1 am it gives you an error saying the end time can't be before the start time. Uh.. I want the end time to be the next day. The app doesn't allow for this. A bit annoying as well.
So other than those 2 parts of the app the lock is great. Make sure you align both the indoor and outdoor parts before tightening the screws.
Fingerprint reader works pretty well and the codes work well also. They should offer a package with the bottom door handle and lock as well so you only have 1 set of keys instead of having 2 if you have 2 locks on your door.

The Philips Smart Entry Deadbolt Door Lock offers keyless entry with integrated Wi-Fi which is why we purchased it for our backdoor. We just got tired of hunting thru pockets to find the door key. It provides five access methods: physical keys, the Philips app, fingerprint recognition, passcode entry, and voice control via Alexa/Google Assistant. Installation was straightforward, taking about 5–10 minutes, and only requires 8 AA batteries. The lock can connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network without needing an extra hub, and works best if your router is within 65 ft. An auto-lock feature secures the door after 10–180 seconds, adding convenience and security. Overall, this high-quality smart lock from Philips is easy to install, versatile, and highly recommended.

Full function and everything you’d want in a deadbolt lock. Installation is easy, only takes a few minutes. Once connected to the app. You can input your pin(s) and get your finger scan up and running. Pretty cool. WiFi connection means you’re never not connected with your lock. Battery monitoring in the app helps you see when you need new batteries. The app also has a log of lock, and unlocks. Finger scanning is pretty sweet feature. Color is clean and I would expect the finis to last. Not one negative thing to say about this deadbolt. I love it!!

I was looking for a smart deadbolt lock for an office entry door. I saw this
Philips Smart Entry Deadbolt Door Lock and liked it features. First, this lock is manufactured by Philips, a company known for manufacturing high quality items in many categories. This smart lock has integrated WiFi to offer a true keyless entry solution. It is important to ensure your door thickness is between 1-3/8" to 2" for this lock to fit.
There are five ways to open/ close this deadbolt. First, this lockset comes with two physical keys to open/ close the door using the standard SC1 keyway (Schlage). Second, lock can be open/ closed with the Phillips app. Third, the lock has finger reading capability to open/ close the deadbolt. Fourth, there is numerical buttons on front of the lock to open with passcode. Finally, the fifth open to open/close the lock via voice through Alexa/Google Assistant. This vast open/ close choices allows one to choose what works best for them.
The lock installation is quick and easy following the included quick install guide. Installation can be done in 5-10 minutes. First, the new latch is installed. Next, the front part of lock is installed aligning the lock pin with the latch and feeding the cable carefully through the deadbolt hole . Then the metal back plate is installed and screwed down paying attention to the up arrow. Finally, the back portion of the lock is installed by connecting the cables and screwing down. You will need to install 8 AA batteries. Download the Philips app for the deadbolt and follow the directions to connect/ pair your locks to your WiFi network that supports 2.4Ghz speed. Once connected you can use the multiple opening/closing including remote features. This lock needs no extra hub but it is recommended the router is within 65 ft of the lock.
One feature of the lock that stands out is the option to set an auto-lock option to automatically close the lock after 10 to 180 seconds. This option is a lifesaver when your hands are full, you have to rush out, or when you simply forget to lock. This is Philips high quality smart deadbolt lock is available at a great price and the installation/setup process is fairly quick. I highly recommend this Philips deadbolt!

This lock is great! I have it on an outside door that has no storm door and no shelter. I live in NY and it gets really cold. This is working great still. I also have the Yale lock and I like this one better. It was easy to install, easy to use. I love the different locking options. 10/10 recommend
Cherryridge13155/5Verified
The lock seems solid. I was first wondering about six AA batteries. My old Schlage operated using just a 9v battery. I know now that Philips unit is actually a dead bolt lock and latch bolt requires power to move. In the Schlage version, spring had already done the work. Latch design is better. Installation was a breeze as I replacing an existing lock. Make sure you buy a model which comes with the handle set. Mine didn’t. I had to buy it separately from the local box store.
Philips Home Access software is functional, however, I had trouble linking the account to Alexa (see the attached picture.)
A serious must have is missing from this lock. There is no way to disable auto lock without the app. This feature is highly needed when a repairman needs to go in and out of your house. He can’t be entering codes all these times. His only choice at that time is, to leave the door partially opened; not a great choice at all. I also noticed that the auto-locking feature is activated, even when the door is opened. It might be some kind of calibration issue. So far, I have not found any remedy except to reset the lock, which would mean, re-entering all the codes etc.
Overall, it is an ok unit with a decent price. But, Philips has some work cut out for them.

UPDATE: the seller reached out to me and made things 100% right, absolutely recommend Philips.
Original review:
As far as the code setting, auto lock, fingerprint, all works well so far. However the WiFi will not connect, so I can only manage the lock when I’m home and can connect via Bluetooth. I know the WiFi works because I can stand right next to the lock and stream videos without any issue, and yes it’s the same network and a 2.4ghz one as required. Checked for firmware updates and all.
I wonder if it even has WiFi because no module is listed in the device settings. Philips support is a voicemail box, so no idea if anyone will call me back. Bummer because I wanted to be able to manage remotely.

I've owned multiple smart-locks from major brands (Wyze) and generic vendors. This isn't a bad product - installation was easy (despite no directions being included in my unit). Configuration was equally easy with the app. Setting the master PIN, user PINs, and fingerprints is simple and straightforward. The product feels heavy-duty and the mount-plate installation makes setting the battery pack easy. My biggest gripe: auto-locking is an "on" or "off" setting -- you cannot set a schedule for auto-locking, and with kids in my home, I really want to leave the door open during daylight hours but enable auto-locking after 5p or 6p. Another area of concern: the correlated Philips Android app does NOT show the publisher as Philips [at least in the Play store] which made me nervous to install...

I really like how easy this lock makes life. You can set the whole family up with their own code or fingerprint (it has traditional keys too), and the app makes it simple to share access. It even has a guest mode, which is great for visitors or airbnb's. Being able to check the lock from the app and lock or unlock it remotely is a game changer, no more wondering if I remembered to lock the door or who has come in and out. The auto‑lock feature is another nice layer of peace of mind. We have ours set up with Alexa on automation which is so handy.
The only downside is that the inner lock feels like cheap plastic, which is disappointing for the price. Functionally, it works well, but I wish the build felt sturdier. Overall, it is a really nice set with a easy to use app. I would recommend it.

I installed this on a side door to my garage fairly easily. There are 3 main items. The lock, a WiFi/bluetooth enable outlet, door sensor. The outlet device plugs into an outlet for it to connect the lock for remote access and a sensor that can mount to door frame via included two-way-tape or you can use alternate parts to flush mount it in the door jam. I chose the door jam option to make it more streamlined. The instruction say to use a 5/8” bit. This was wrong. I should have double checked the size of the item but I just went with the instructions and the hole was way too big. I had to back fill the hole to get the sensor to stay in secure because the diameter of the hole was now way too big compared to the sensor. Thankfully I am handy and have lots of bits and pieces to make this happen. But someone with limited tools and ingenuity would probably be upset.
It is only Bluetooth, which means you have to be in proximity to use the app. In order to get it WiFi enabled you have to plug in an extra device (WiFi bridge) in an outlet close enough to connect to your WiFi network and it’s Bluetooth to the door lock. The process was not too hard to setup the bridge, but it seems like the tech should just be build into the lock and not a separate after thought through an outlet bridge. It works, but seems like old tech and just another failure point in the connection to gain access remotely.
The fingerprint works really well and is convenient. The lock does look nice and works pretty good. It feels sturdy and the price is really not too bad for this level of tech. I am able to compare my experience to what I currently use, which is another big brand for my main door that easily integrates with my security system and makes the whole process super simple.
My biggest gripe was that I ordered this as new and it came as an opened item with nasty animal hair all over it and every item was opened. Some screws were missing, but not essential to my installation. This part of the product was unacceptable as the price was full price for the item as being new, not someone else’s return. That shows a lack of process and quality control. Thankfully, the essentials were still intact for what I need for the install and it worked. I wanted to request a replacement but there were none in stock so it would have been a flat return. I took a chance, only because I have tons of tools, bits and pieces to make it work.

Great lock, but does not come with required batteries so be aware of that! For the price I wish they had been included. Install was easy but the instructions were vague in a few places

Just recently installed the lock. It looks nice and is working well.
I would have given it 5 stars if the app had functionality for either facial recognition or if it was password manager friendly.
It seems Philips is behind the curve when it comes to advanced security, such as facial recognition and password manager in the app.

The product is solid, and it was easy to install and activate via the app. Now we can control and being informed about the door use remotely.

I have experience with both Schlage and Yale Smart deadbolts, and found this Phil unit to be half the price and a fraction of the headache to install and set up. It seems to be of durable construction and has a user-friendly interface for creating a wide variety of access codes and central features. We are looking forward to years of Dependable use from this product.

This works great, just as advertised. The issue is that with wi-fi the batteries run down quickly, after about one month. It is not convenient to come home and find the door won't open because the batteries have died.
You should offer an external power supply so I can plug in and forget about having to constantly be replacing batteries.

I love this device! I'd like to order in bulk of an estimated 185 units. I would like to know if there is any discount available for bulk purchases

Pretty easy to install but I did have a previous deadbolt and door handle so all holes were drilled. Everything lined up perfectly. Written instructions were good, I could follow them easily. Setting up app on my iphone was also easy. Once connected it also worked perfectly. I also like that it works with Alexa and while that took a little more to figured out because the instructions basically said set up in Alexa but Alexa said set it up in the app. There wasn’t any instructions on exactly how to do that part.
