Only installed for half day but I'm really pleased so far. Read some reviews on here and I believe folks buy items without researching first so I did and install was smooth. App is also great and already paired with Alexa without issue. This replaced kwikset from 2019 that broke last week also had ongoing issue with it so was looking for something with a lower price point. I have ring alarm and first wanted smart lock that paired with ring but not much to choose from also I had to be open to wifi, prefer z wave or zigbee fyi. But I'm happy with this just hope it lasts longer than the kwikset that is around $220 to $240 and has less features. Fyi this is for a basement door that in the past we always forgot to lock. This handle is always locked so it's a plus for us and with the finger print reader it's fast to get back in.

Be sure to measure existing lock and deadbolt. This is narrower than our old system but taller so you can see where the old one removed paint but we canโt put the deadbolt back in because it is too tall. The features are nice but itโs turning into an ordeal to install it. The handle is pretty bulky and not what I would consider attractive.

Maybe this Lockwood function well. I would not know because I could not install it. The internal portion is too big to fit between the handle and the deadbolt latch. Then Phillips reached out to me. They refunded my money, even though it was technically past the time when Amazon would do so. And then mailed me a different door lock for free that would fit my door. This was the best customer service I have ever received for anything ever.

Phillips Wi-Fi Smart Door latch will not work with Phillips Wi-Fi Smart Door deadbolt (DDL242X-15HW) on a door with pre-cut (normal spacing) holes for latch and deadbolt. Did come up with a work around. Mount inside Door latch inverted. With touch-up painting to follow... Why most of door lock companies fail to design their locks to have enough spacing for both their deadbolt and latch locks is a mystery. After install both latch and deadbolt complained about Wi-Fi signal being to weak. Even though Wi-FI access point was about 12-feet away and smart phone showing full bars for Wi-Fi.

This lock was easy to setup and is quite a nice addition to the aesthetic of my home. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because the keypad glass was broken/chipped in all four corners. Nonetheless, the lock appears quite durable and is still able to use.

I have been meaning to change all of my exterior doors to smart locks, after upgrading my front door a while ago, and came across this Philips model. The build quality is very good, and despite needing 8x AA batteries, it isnโt that bulky. However, the design only works for doors that use a single knob/key combo. Most houses have the keyed lock separate from the latch/knob (and often a deadbolt on top of that). While I tried to figure a way to make this work around the current system, I couldnโt find a good way to separate the lock and knob, or pair them together with the current door. Rather unfortunate, since the lock assembly is quite nice with having both the button pad and fingerprint sensor, along with a hidden physical key lock. Although I did disable the fingerprint sensor since I am wary of their security concerns (easy to hack/bypass), so I just use the number pad for entry. I also ended up just using it for my garage hall door, which aside from my closets is the only exterior-facing door that uses a single knob without a separate lock, and it works well overall (even connects with Google Home).

This Philips Wi-Fi smart door lock was very easy to install on my garage door, and it has completely changed the way my garage is used. The best part is the auto-lock featureโit locks itself within seconds, silently, without making any noise. Even if someone opens the door from the inside, itโs already locked from the outside, so thereโs no need to worry about manually locking it. That alone gives huge peace of mind. The fingerprint sensor is amazing. Iโve added fingerprints for all my family members, and it works very smoothly and quickly every single time. My kids can come in after school, my wife can use it easilyโeveryone has seamless access without keys. Itโs fast, reliable, and very convenient. The touchscreen number keypad is also a great backup option. The app is excellent too. It gives clear notifications about when the door was accessed, who accessed it, and at what time. Everything feels very smooth and swift, and the overall experience feels premium and well thought out. The only small concern is that it uses eight AA batteries, which is a bit on the higher side. However, if it lasts six months or more, Iโm perfectly okay with that because of how useful and secure this lock is. This Philip smart lock was quick and easy to install. Instructions are well detailed. Once I download the app it paired quickly with my phone. I love that I have the ability to create multiple user code with or without fingerprints. This smart lock is WiFi enabled so a hub is not required. I am able to control it remotely and it also alert me when the lock is accessed by user with name and time. I really like the sleek design and look of this smart lock. The keypad is digital so I donโt need to working about the numbers fading. Although I like the smart lock, I didnโt like that it requires 8 batteries. Another con the 1 out of the 3 pre installed screws worked. Other than that you wonโt be disappointed. Excellent quality.

I got this lock because I was tired of digging around the bottom of my bag for keys every time I came home with groceries. Swapping out my old deadbolt took a little bit of time, but once it was on, it felt really solid on the door. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap when you grab the handle, which was something I was worried about with a smart lock. The black finish looks pretty sleek against the door, too. The best part for me has been the fingerprint scanner. I set it up with my thumb and index finger, and it reads them almost instantly. It is so nice to just touch the handle and walk in. I also messed around with the app to set up a temporary code for my sister when she stopped by to walk the dog, and she got in without any issues. It is great being able to check the app from bed just to make sure the house is locked up for the night. If you are looking to modernize your front door, this is a really nice upgrade.

I replaced an older non-WIFI enabled lock with this Philips lock and this one is a huge improvement. This lock simply does everything right. The quality is very good, they included easy to read and follow instructions on paper in the box, and the install was both very straightforward and easy. Upon getting the lock installed which was very easy as mentioned before, I went through the setup procedure. First you download the app, go through the steps there, get your new lock connected to your WIFI and you're up and running. I installed this lock on an Airbnb home and I'm looking forward to being able to remotely change guest passwords, and lock or unlock the door for them if necessary. I really like the redundancy this lock has too. There is a choice of remote unlock via WIFI, code unlock via the keypad, thumbprint unlock, and they even include a keyed unlock. The keyhole is located under the thumbprint reader so most people will never know it's there. It gives the whole door lock a sleeker look without the visible keyhole. I like this Philips smart lock enough that I'm going to buy the deadbolt version of it for my own house. Sometimes I leave the house without my door key and 100% rely on my garage door opener. It's only a matter of time until I come back home, realize the power is out, and then realize I have no way to get inside. Having a smart deadbolt that's battery powered solves that issue in the event I don't have my door key.

This Wi-Fi smart door lock is made of quality materials and was easy for my handy husband to assemble. It has a handle and push button keypad. The whole thing has a good weight to it and is not at all flimsy. This is the best keyless door that we have ever used, it seamlessly connects with your Wi-Fi and the fingerprint detector is very sensitive and can detect multiple different individuals. We have used it a few weeks now and love it and we plan to replace all our other locks with these.

This is an excellent entry-level smart lock for home. I got this to use for an exterior storage room on my property and it was super simple to install. If you know how to install a doorknob, you can install this in ten minutes or less. The app is very easy to use and is handy when you don't have the key with you; however having a physical key is very important in this age of everything being electronic or on Wi-Fi. Sometimes the power fails and you need that analog access. This Philips Smart Lever Lock gives you that. I didn't try to use it with Alexa or Hey Google so can't comment on those features.

This Phillips integrated smart lock (Series 2000 - model DDL220X-1HW) is easy to install and easy to use. It comes with everything you need to install with the exception of a screwdriver and batteries. The physical installation was super easy. All of the parts fit perfectly on my existing entry door to the detached garage. It's beautifully made with an elegant satin black finish. Once the lock itself was installed, I scanned the code in the instructions to download the Home Access to my phone. Setting up the app and getting everything connected to my home's wi-fi was a breeze. Once everything was set up, it was simple to add additional passcodes and fingerprints to the lock. I gotta say, this is really a nifty smart lock. The fact that I have 4 different ways to open the door is really cool. In a pinch, I can use the physical key (set comes with two), the app on my phone, a pin number, or fingerprint to unlock the door. This makes is so convenient to get in to the garage, or give someone access remotely. I can create all sorts of additional PINs for access. I can create additional ones for friends or family members that are permanent, or do temporary ones. Very flexible. I did have some issues with the lock's Alexa integration though. For some reason, I'm unable to add the Alexa skill so I am unable to link the lock to "her". This makes using the lock just a little less convenient in Alexa's sandbox. But realistically, why would I need to ask Alexa to remotely unlock the door if it will only relock in 5 seconds? Sometimes Alexa integration sounds great, but doesn't really have a real world need. I could be wrong. If I'm at work and am talking on the phone with a friend that wants to get in the garage to borrow a shovel, I don't need Alexa. I can just use the Home Access app to unlock the door and see real time status. The lock sometimes goes offline which might be a function of my home network. I did notice that when the lock was offline, if I touched the keypad on it, it automatically connected. Not sure why this is happening, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the lock itself. Aside from the connectivity issues, the lock works effortlessly. Once you have the PINs and fingerprints set up you don't really need the wi-fi connection. This really is an excellent value to help elevate your home's security. It is beautifully styled, well constructed and loaded with convenience. Terrific smart lock!

The installation was a breeze. Setting codes manually or via the internet is also a breeze. Iโm not that impressed with the finger print reader; itโs difficult to enter a finger print and once entered, it doesnโt read the finger print well.

Well we only installed it 2 days ago so I donโt know how it will be long-term. But my initial comment is that it just feels cheap. The whole housing is plastic. Long-term I just donโt think itโs gonna hold up. I donโt know about the battery and how long it will last. But using eight AA batteries, kind of a pain. I was looking for an easily pop out rechargeable, but it works for now. The set up is pretty easy. We used our thumb prints. The documentation could be better.

The lock leaves a lot to be desired in terms of scheduling etc. Main thing is not being able to schedule passage way vs locked or an auto lock time of day etc. You can set how long after unlocking it auto locks, and you can put it into passage way mode (where it just stays unlocked indefinitely) but it is a manual toggle. So, for example, if wanted the door unlocked at 8 am and locked at 5 pm, you can't do that. If you wanted it to be put into passage way after the first unlock of the day until 5 pm, you can't do that. At least not at the time of the review. The autolock max timeout is also only 3 minutes, again, not enough if you want to have a period of unfettered access. Another questionable thing is that this isn't made by Philips, it seems to be licensed by a company who put Philips name on it, which to me is in the middle of being trustworthy and not trustworthy, because I assume that Philips is going to handle my data correctly, but this isn't Philips. This is made and managed by a different company in HK.

This door lock has been a nice convience for our air BNB. It allows us to change door code without being by the door. It lets you know in the app when they check in. It was easy to install. Connected to wifi easily. Fingerprint sensor has worked well so far. I like that the app allows multiple door locks on it and they don't have to be at one place. I do wish that they could be linked with the same user codes on each door if wanted. It does take a bit to input all the user codes for multiple doors and if you want to use fingerprint you have to do it for each door. I am not the biggest fan of the digital touch pad as it does not always respond to my first touch to turn it on, but it has always has turned on with another touch. All in all I am really liking it and I think it looks nice.

Talk about convenient! I ended up putting them on all my doors. I own a three unit apartment house and Iโm able to give each unit their own codes and program their fingerprints. If any of them move out, I can just remove them from the lock and reprogram the new tenant. No more fishing for keys. I love that. I can even remotely lock or unlock the door using the app that Philips provides. Donโt fret, it also has a normal key should the batteries die. Having an analog backup means you wonโt have to break the door down if itโs not opening electronically. ; )

The only issue I have with the lock is if you have a deadbolt the lock doesnโt fit the door. It overlaps with the deadbolt. I had to break some of the plastic off the lock to get it to fit. Besides that the lock was easy to setup and program.
